Privacy notice

The short version

This page collects one thing: the email address you type in, plus which button you pressed (join the waitlist, or reserve the founding price). We use it only to email you about Gateless's launch and the founding price. We don't sell it, share it for advertising, or use tracking cookies.

Who runs this page

Gateless is an upcoming iPhone app by Toan Lam. Contact: hello@lambyte.com.

What we collect and why

Your email address

To send you the launch email and, if you reserved it, how to get the founding price.

Which button you pressed, and the date

To count how many people want the app and how many would pay the founding price.

Your confirmation that you’re 18 or older

The form won’t send without it. Gateless is for adults only.

We don't collect your name, phone number or location, and there are no ad pixels, tracking cookies, session recordings or fingerprinting on this page. Fonts are served from this site, not from Google.

Who processes it

Your email is stored in our own database on Cloudflare, which only we can read, and copied to Kit (kit.com), our email provider, which sends the launch email. The page is hosted by Cloudflare Pages, which, like any web host, processes your IP address to deliver the page and protect it from abuse. We don't receive or keep those logs.

How long we keep it

Until Gateless launches and we've sent the launch email, or until you unsubscribe, whichever comes first. If we decide not to build Gateless, we'll email you once to say so and then delete the list within 30 days.

Your choices

Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. To see, change or delete what we hold about you, email us at the address above and we'll reply within 30 days. Reserving the founding price takes no payment and commits you to nothing.

Under 18

This page and the app are for adults only. If we learn that someone under 18 joined the list, we delete their address. If you're under 18 and struggling, talk to a trusted adult, a doctor or a school counselor, or call or text 988 in the US.

“Do Not Track”

We don’t track you across sites, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to turn off.

The app itself

This notice covers the waitlist only. The app is designed to need no account and to keep your data on your iPhone. It will have its own privacy policy before launch.

Changes

If this notice changes, we’ll update the date above and, for any big change, email the list first.
